2nd Annual Bellario //Prize
The Bellario Foundation on behalf of the Bellario //Prize is proud to announce
the second annual winner for achievement in Applied Science and Technology,
and misc. HO HA. ...
For 2014
Donald Holte of Duluth.
The Bellario //Prize is awarded on an annual basis - on December 12 at noon. This
years award was a life time achievement award primarily for Applied Science, however,
this is in no way to detract from this years winner in the miscellaneous HO HA category.
For example, when Mr. Holte became aware of the award, he stated:
" I've applied science but not always successfully. "
As to whether he went heavier on the science or technology, principally
it seems to have been a bit of both.
Finally, one of the factors that did help this years winner was the publication of
his book ---- The Road to Huahine Goes Straight Through Haight-Ashbury ---
apparently renamed Road Rash which contains a significant mixing of
both science and miscellaneous HO HA, as well as several other ingredients.
The Bellario //Prize Committee did feel some regret as there were clearly many
people who were considered and did not win as well as many others who it
was not possible to give significant consideration. But the general feeling is,
we will just try harder ( what with, you know 24 hrs./day, etc ) and look forward
to progress.
